Pedal Mission is the flagship social initiative of Anand Vanjape carried out under City Turtles Foundation, working to improve access to education, employment, and opportunities through the power of bicycles.
Thousands of children in rural India walk long distances to school every day, while many workers struggle to reach their workplaces due to the lack of affordable transportation. A bicycle can dramatically reduce travel time, improve school attendance, increase earning opportunities, and transform lives.
Pedal Mission collects pre-owned bicycles, refurbishes them where necessary, and distributes them free of cost or at a nominal cost to deserving students, daily wage workers, and economically disadvantaged individuals.
The initiative also welcomes financial contributions to support bicycle collection, transportation, repairs, and the purchase of new bicycles for those who need them most.
Every bicycle donated creates new opportunities for education, employment, health, and independence.
